Position SummaryOne-year (can be extended) Postdoctoral Fellow position isavailable in the Biomedical Engineering Department at theUniversity at Buffalo – The State University of New York. TheFellow will collaborate with researchers in the laboratories of Dr.Anirban Dutta and Dr. Lora Cavuoto from the School of Engineeringand Applied Sciences (UB’s North Campus), and the clinic of Dr.Steven D. Schwaitzberg at the Buffalo General Hospital (DowntownCampus). The Fellow will also collaborate with researchers at theCenter for Modeling, Simulation and Imaging for Medicine,Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Dr. Suvranu De).Key responsibilities:• Conduct healthy human experiments on motor learning duringsurgical training• Conduct healthy human experiments with neuroimaging guidednon-invasive brain stimulation ( NIBS )• Conduct neuroimaging data analysis (statistical parametricmapping) and statistical hypothesis testing ( IBM SPSSStatistics)• Conduct functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI),electroencephalography ( EEG ), functional near-infraredspectroscopy (fNIRS)• Apply statistical methods for neuroimaging data analysis andclassification• Develop advanced computational modeling methods for electricfield distribution based on structural and functional magneticresonance imaging ( MRI )• Develop advanced optimization approaches for subject-specificdelivery of NIBS• Apply MR physics and neuroengineering concepts for softwaredevelopment in MATLAB and PythonThe University at Buffalo is SUNY’s most comprehensive publicresearch university, and an outstanding place to work.
