first_imgTeaching faculty at Guilford Technical Community College areresponsible for supporting student success by creating an optimumlearning environment, responding to student needs, managingeffective instructional activities, developing curriculum courses,modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism,developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty andstaff, supporting college administrative requirements, andmaintaining competency in their instructional field. S/he will beresponsible for quality instruction and for effective participationand interest in the total affairs of the college.Under general supervision, this individual will develop, prepareand teach Architectural Technology courses designed for careertechnical programs while caring for and maintaining thelabs/facilities. The faculty member must be able to instruct a widevariety of topics within the curriculum in a laboratory environmentand may be required to teach day, evening and/or weekend hours.Education Required: – Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or arelated field from a regionally accreditedcollege/university.Education Preferred: – Master’s degree in Architecture or arelated field from a regionally accredited college/university -Licensed in ArchitectureExperience Required: -Three years recent documented industryexperience in the architectural field -Documented recent experiencewith AutoCAD/REVIT Teaching and/or industry training experience inarchitectural technology topics in any of the following formats:teaching courses, training sessions, conducting professionaldevelopment workshops, and/or other continuing educationseminarsExperience Preferred: -More than three years recentdocumented industry experience in the architectural field-Post-secondary teaching experience in Architectural Technology-Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes-Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructionaldelivery systems
